From Rome's monumental Colosseum to Florence's architectural masterpieces to a Tuscany tour of medieval hill towns, this week in Italy is filled with special experiences. One of the highlights of our one-week Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany tour is Tauck's exclusive, private after-hours visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel - a rare opportunity to contemplate the inspirational treasures, without the crowds!

Three nights in the heart of Rome set the stage for viewing landmark sights such as the Roman Forum, or ornate architectural masterpieces such as the fountains at the center of piazzas. In Tuscany tour the countryside and preserved ancient hill towns like Siena; you'll also visit Perugia, Assisi and Orvieto. Art historians and local guides provide the inside story behind Florence's art masterpieces, notably at the Uffizi Gallery.

    Tauck Value Includes:
    • TAUCK'S YELLOW ROADS! Follow the timeless River Tiber from Orvieto to Perugia in Umbria, and on through vineyards, olive groves and medieval Tuscan towns to spectacular Florence in the Chianti Hills
    • TAUCK EXCLUSIVE! - Private, after-hours guided visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, without the distraction of crowds - see the treasures of the Vatican unhurried, at your own pace
    • A lecture by an art historian who introduces you to Renaissance art and the city of Florence, and a guided tour of the Uffizi Gallery with a local expert
    • A walking tour through Old Rome as seen through the eyes of a local guide
Airport transfers upon arrival and departure as detailed
    • 12 meals, service charges, gratuities to local guides, admission fees, taxes and porterage
Prices are per-person based on double occupancy, unless otherwise noted.
